We are delighted to be able to share news that preparations to modernise Filton Leisure Centre are now underway!

Works are thanks to a multi-million-pound investment by Filton Town Council to create an activity hub that is
self-sustaining and in tune with the needs of residents both now and in the future.

Works are being carried out by Speller Metcalfe and will be focused on the modernisation of poolside changing facilities, the creation of a new build with new main entrance and reception area as well as a new café and soft play area, gym and exercise area. In addition, facilities serving the outdoor pitches will become integral to the centre, accessible via a dedicated access point, and will include modern changing and showering facilities for home and away teams as well as officials.

Throughout the works, we will do all we can to minimise disruption and, whilst some adjustments to programming and facility use may be necessary to ensure Supporter and team safety, it is our intention to keep all facilities and services open throughout, this includes swimming lessons.

Stuart Martin, Managing Director, Active Nation, says: “Works will see facilities consolidated and modernised to provide a provision much more in-tune with the modern needs of our community. This will not only improve the experience of all our current Supporters, it will also create a sustainable future for the venue, meaning many generations to come will be able to enjoy an active lifestyle in a safe, affordable and fully supported environment.”

Active Nation would like to thank you for your continued support and patience whilst we work together to create a better future for our community leisure provision. Works are underway now and expected to complete early 2024.
